SOLUTIONS BUILT ON EXPERIENCE

As industry leaders in this category, our expertise developed over more than 50 years allows us to design and manufacture precision extrusions, finish them to any length, and ship them capped or ready for further assembly. Our aluminium profiles are used across a range of our finished products including windows, doors, weather boards, louvres, wardrobe doors, fencing, showers, balustrades and accessories.

ALUMINIUM

Aluminium’s unique properties and qualities makes it one of the most popular and versatile materials for the New Zealand conditions. Light, strong, durable and highly fire resistant, aluminium doesn’t require regular repainting and has minimal maintenance. Aluminium is also a high-value recyclable that can be melted down and used again indefinitely.

Lightweight, strong and durable

Low maintenance & safe

LIGHTWEIGHT, STRONG AND DURABLE

Aluminium’s high strength-to-weight ratio makes Aluminium structures lighter by 35% to 65% compared to steel, while providing equivalent strength. This means it doesn’t place a significant load on the building’s supporting structure.

LOW MAINTENANCE AND SAFE

Aluminium and its alloys exhibit strength, integrity, and resistance to the influence of natural environment and extreme weather, and thus aluminium products, do not rust, decay, crack, lose shape, nor are susceptible to pests. Aluminium cladding needs no maintenance apart from periodic cleaning for aesthetic reasons.

Aluminium also does not burn, and is therefore classified as a noncombustible construction material.

PROFILE FINISHES

POWDER COATING

Powder coating is one of the most durable colour-coatings available. FMI’s advanced powder coating facilities are accredited to WANZ Enduro Colour Powder Coating Quality Standards.

Our latest powder coat technology, AEONOX, is a scratch-resistant formula designed to minimize the risk of profiles becoming damaged throughout the installation and manufacturing process. AEONOX comes in a sophisticated range of neutral tones. It offers excellent long term UV and weather resistance and carries a 15 year Interpon warranty.

ANODISING

For a natural looking finish that reacts to light with a contemporary metallic sheen, anodising gives an appearance of being as one with the aluminium rather than an external coat of paint. Anodising uses an anodic oxide coating to bring out unique colours within the metal of the frame. The result is a stylish matte metallic finish that’s durable and tough wearing. We have a range of popular neutral tones to choose from.

SUBLIMATION

Our sublimation finish technology allows us to create the appearance of any desired texture on our aluminium. Our most popular sublimation is a woodgrain finish, that creates the aspiration of wood with long lasting paint free durability. Unlike real wood that needs constant upkeep, this sublimation finish is strictly low maintenance.
